An event hosted by both the Palestine Solidarity Alliance and Arab Studies Club of Hunter College depicting the beauty of Palestinian culture. As we marked the 69th anniversary of the Nakba with the celebration: 1000 nights of resistance.
Our cultural night had dabka with Ahmed Hamad from Gaza, music with Hamze Allaham from Bethlehem, spoke-word poetry from three female Muslim-American poets: Hebh Jamal, Areeg Abdelhamid and Lina Mohammed, a spoken word poet from NYU known as Khalid Abudawas, as well as a photo exhibit about Gaza from Obliterated Families, "When I See Them, I See Us", and Palestinian food!
